Created in collaboration with the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail Users Association these gravel cycling shirts capture the amazing Brisbane Valley Rail Trail through the art of Susan McConnel.
About the Artist
Susan McConnel has a genuine passion for the Australian rural way of life. She has worked and lived on cattle and sheep properties all her life both in Western Australia and Queensland. She has surrounded herself with bush characters that have shared their narratives and has read fascinating stories and letters of the early settlers. These stories invoke in her a desire to share this rich Australian history by painting colourful quirky unique images.
Susan has created a design for the BVRT in her quirky and unique style. The design incorporates native Australian animals, cyclists, gum trees, railway tracks and of course her trademark horses and cows.
We have used this design to create this incredibly unique gravel shirt available for pre order. Orders will close 6pm on the 15th of September 2024. Jerseys will dispatched by the 27th of October.

A common question we always get asked is why BOWY and what does it mean? Well its pretty simple, BOWY is Sarah's nickname and we thought it was a fun catchy name to use as a brand.
